Star Staffing is seeking an experienced Terminal Support Associate to help load rail cars for an industrial manufacturing client in Stockton.
Day shift Mon-Fri $18.00-$21.00hr D.O.E
Position: Terminal Operator

The Terminal Operator is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient distribution of bulk products by preparing railcars and trucks for loading, maintaining terminal cleanliness, and assisting operations and maintenance teams. This role is key to ensuring safety compliance and operational readiness within the facility.

Position: Terminal Operator
Job Overview:
The Terminal Operator is responsible for supporting the safe and efficient distribution of bulk products by preparing railcars and trucks for loading, maintaining terminal cleanliness, and assisting operations and maintenance teams. This role is key to ensuring safety compliance and operational readiness within the facility.
- Inspect all railcars for cleanliness and reports to Control Room Operator on their condition and fitness for loading
- Seek assistance when cleaning railcars. Do not enter a railcar without OSHA-certified personal protective equipment and another Yara employee present
- Inspect all trucks for bed cleanliness and tightness of the tailgate. Reports any dirtiness or contamination to Control Room Operator for further review and action
- Coordinate with truck drivers for safe and efficient loading of trucks
- Participate in all mandated safety training and exercises
- Cross train with warehouse operators and pay-loader operators and acts as back up to warehouse operators
- Read, understand and implement the Stockton Dry facility HESQ manual in all matters pertaining to this job
- Assist in vessel discharges at the direction of the Facility Manager
- Maintain the warehouse and terminal grounds in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times
- Assist the maintenance operators in maintaining all terminal equipment in a clean, safe and efficient manner at all times
- Performs any other duties assigned by the Facility Manager, including cross training with other members of the terminal staff and assistance with vessel discharges
Requirements:
- High School GED or Diploma 3 years experience working in a manufacturing environment Eligible for a TWIC card
