Job Description
Summary;
Under Direct supervision or leader, preforms production area laboring jobs and keeps plant areas in a clean and orderly conditions as directed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following.
- Knowledge of nature and properties of sanitation chemicals.
- Keeps work area clean and orderly using common cleaning equipment. Preps equipment for cleaning.
- Must be familiar with safe machine operations where machinery must be cleaned while running; familiar with lock out locations and procedures.
- Cleans and maintains production area in proper sanitation conditions at shift end.
- responsible for ensuring safe work conditions and safe work practices in assigned area, including written procedures for safe handling and use of chemical compounds.
- Removes excess material or refuse as directed.
- Weighs and labels bins on occasions.
- Must be able to lift over 35lbs
- Flexible working OT
Must be comfortable wearing the required PPE to perform the job functions in the sanitation department such as;
- Rain suit
- Gloves
- Goggles
- Boots
