Job Description
Boutique Retail Associate for Winery
Yountville, CA
We are in search of a Retail Associate to support the Boutique Store department at the busy Winery. As a Retail Associate, you will perform: ·Assist with bottle and/or glass service, guest experiences, and wine education in a courteous manner consistent with the winery brand standards.
· Achieving individual goals for sales and conversion.
· Achieving and exceeding wine club goals set for the Brand Home team and individually.
· Attending all Brand Home trainings and meetings to stay updated with goals, new releases, new programs, and education.
· Reading the daily communication log for schedule updates, lunch/break times and scheduling.
· Maintaining safety standards for guests. Always Practicing responsible hospitality.
· Operating the POS system with accuracy, completing all transactions, providing correct change, and
accurately ringing credit and cash transactions.
· Assisting team members to keep Brand Home merchandised according to standards placed by Retail Manager and Team Lead.
· Adhering to Winery’s discount policy, providing all guests, internal and external, with appropriate discounts.
Efficient BOH support: (30%)
· Maintain Retail space by continuously cleaning and stocking during opening, closing and throughout service.
· Keep all stockrooms organized and well stocked. Assist with inventory and cycle counts.
· Setup and break down of Winery public and private tastings, experiences, and any other events that may occur
during the workday. Set-up and Close-down: (20%) · Follow the opening checklist, ensuring all tasks are completed in a timely manner. The Retail Boutique must be fully cleaned, stocked, and ready for guests by opening time. · Initiate closing tasks and follow closing checklist ensuring that all closing tasks are performed. · Learn proper opening and closing of registers. · Proper use of POS systems and cash handling.
About you: Retail sales background, Hospitality a plus, wine knowledge a plus, must be 21+ pass a background check. Â Schedule: Weekends and holidays a must and PT-Full time. Pay rate $20 per hr.
