Star Staffing is seeking a motivated and experienced Quality Assurance Lead for a leading manufacturing company in Santa Rosa, CA. The ideal candidate will supervise a team of QA Inspectors, ensuring adherence to quality standards and regulatory compliance. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:

- Supervise and lead QA Inspectors, assigning daily tasks and ensuring effective performance.
- Participate in the hiring process for QA Inspectors and manage vacation approvals.
- Monitor the Document History Review backlog, providing daily updates to senior management until resolution.
- Ensure all QA Inspectors are properly trained for their assigned tasks.
- Review documentation and records for completeness and authorize product releases per established procedures.
- Verify packaging and labeling of finished goods to ensure compliance.
- Identify quality issues, initiate nonconformance reports, and communicate necessary actions.
- Notify production staff to halt operations when quality concerns arise.
- Conduct audits on assigned production lines to verify compliance with quality standards.
- Record observations and recommend process improvements.
- Inspect retain samples provided by IPQA and maintain them as per current procedures.
- Engage in equipment calibration activities as needed.
- Manage the blocking and unblocking of products in inventory.
- Coordinate with shipping and production departments to prioritize urgent work orders based on shipment needs.
- Provide Certificate of Analysis (COA) for international shipments upon request.
- Collaborate with the senior quality team on Verification of Effectiveness (VOE) of assigned CAPAs.
Education:

- High School diploma (GED) required; an associate’s degree in a related field is preferred.
Skills & Abilities:

- Bilingual candidates are preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail with strong observational skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong mathematical skills for basic calculations.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, with a commitment to maintaining quality standards.
