Job Title: Purchasing Manager
Location: Santa Rosa, CA (On-site)
Salary Range: $100,000 – $120,000 per year
Employment Type: Full-Time
Overview:
A manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement and supply chain operations. This role ensures the timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and supplies to support uninterrupted production. The ideal candidate has strong negotiation skills, experience with ERP systems, and the ability to manage large-scale purchasing portfolios.
Key Responsibilities:

Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders to support production schedules.

Coordinate with internal departments and vendors to ensure on-time delivery.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date purchase tracking systems.

Communicate with design and graphics teams to ensure artwork is provided to vendors on time.

Assist in developing material specifications and sourcing new suppliers.

Negotiate pricing, terms, and transport costs for both domestic and international shipments.

Ensure vendor compliance with quality and confidentiality requirements.

Manage slow-moving or obsolete inventory to reduce waste.

Support physical inventory counts and address discrepancies.

Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Minimum 10 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain within a manufacturing setting.

Proven experience managing purchasing portfolios of $50MM+ annually.

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).

Strong understanding of procurement practices, market pricing, and vendor negotiation.

Familiarity with ERP systems (NetSuite experience is a plus).

Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
