Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to support HR and payroll operations. This role involves processing payroll, reviewing timesheets and expenses, and ensuring compliance with benefit and retirement plan reporting. You’ll work closely with a small, collaborative admin team in a dog-friendly office.
What You’ll Do:
- Process payroll, timesheets, and expense reports
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, and retirement plan regulations
- Maintain accurate employee records and respond to payroll inquiries
- Support audits and help improve systems and processes
- 2+ years of payroll or compliance experience
- Strong Excel skills and familiarity with payroll systems (Paychex or Deltek a plus)
- Detail-oriented, organized, and communicative
- Comfortable working independently and with a team
- Experience with project-based timekeeping and GSuite is helpful
- $25–$30/hr based on experience
- Full-time eligible for benefits
