Location: Roseville
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30am -5pm
Compensation: $31.25 hourly

The HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure ACT) / ECOA (Equal Credit Opportunity Act) Specialist will ensure compliance with HMDA and ECOA by processing timely denials and reviewing files to ensure all files contain the information required for HMDA reporting requirements. The Specialist will perform their job duties according to the policies and procedures created by the Company. The Specialist will work closely with sales, processing, compliance and underwriting.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Review loan files to ensure HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure ACT) data is collected and reported correctly. Perform periodic reviews of HMDA (Home Mortgage Disclosure ACT) information and assist with the annual HMDA reporting process as requested.
- Process Adverse Action Notices on files where a denial has been requested. Review loan files to ensure all required documents exist and notes exist in file if needed.
- Update loan system when an adverse action is taken to ensure the action taken and action taken dates are accurate.
- Ensure record retention requirements are met according to the company’s policies and procedures.
Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Compliance or Retail Mortgage Industry required
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Working Knowledge of loan processed, and procedures required
- Working knowledge of loan product qualification requirements preferred
- Willing to learn and apply basic federal, state, regulatory laws, regulations, statutes relevant to the mortgage industry
- Strong work Ethic
- Precise attention to detail
- Able to communicate effectively
- Experience with Encompass is helpful but not required
- Must be a team player with the ability to work independently
- Excellent critical thinking and problem solving
- Planning, organization, and decision-making skills
- Experience in Excel and Word
