Manufacturing Operator IV
Santa Rosa, CA 95403
Kitchen Prep workers
Schedule- 3am- 12 pm
Sundays through Saturday . Sunday is the start of the week for the kitchen and all temps are expected to work. Your day off changes and is usually during the week.
Daily overtime and weekend work is mandatory.
In the kitchen you are working with a batch sheet that contains the recipes that you will assist in making. You are working in different areas learning the process. You have to work as a team player learning from the bottom up. You will be bringing pallets, buckets, bins and tables to set up your workstation and will be putting it away at the end of the shift. You are working with food and will get dirty.
Dress comfortably to handle food, lifting bending and walking. There is no siting in the kitchen. Show initiative when there is nothing to do, ask! IF you are willing to learn, you need to cooperate and not be picky where they send you. The areas you will be rotated in are but not limited to;
Dicing onions, cheese, garlic, tofu and various vegetables in a dicing machine- You will load the vegetables into a machine which will dice the product into buckets. You will be weighing the buckets and taking them to the freezer.
Sorting Vegetables- You will be sorting different vegetables with your hands, squeezing and moving to find foreign material that does not belong. Sorting Olives is an everyday task, it is boring but you need to squeeze them to find the pits.
Kettle deck- You will be helping the cooks load and unload heavy items into kettles. You need to be helpful and cautious due to the heavy traffic in the area.
All these tasks require you to be attentive, ask questions and do not horseplay or talk too much because this takes you away from your work causing issues. Following the GMPs is a must.
