Pay: $34–$37/hr, based on experience Mon-Fri
Overview
We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Machinist/Fabricator to support plant operations through machining, fabrication, equipment repair, and general maintenance. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting, designing, and modifying parts and systems to keep production running efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manual machining equipment (lathe, mill, drill press) to create and repair components.
- Perform metal fabrication, welding (MIG, TIG, stick), cutting, and assembly tasks.
- Repair, install, and troubleshoot mechanical systems, production machinery, and facility equipment.
- Design and fabricate custom components, tooling, and safety guards.
- Conduct pipe fitting, torch cutting, and layout work on various materials.
- Support preventive maintenance programs, inspections, and documentation.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve equipment issues.
- Assist with facility maintenance, including carpentry and basic electrical work.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Strong experience with manual machining, metal fabrication, welding, and pipe fitting.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with strong problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices; basic electrical knowledge preferred.
- Experience with shop equipment including lathes, mills, drill presses, band saws, grinders, and hand tools.
- Effective communication skills and ability to train others on technical processes.
- Associate degree, technical school, or equivalent experience.
- U.S. work authorization required.
Physical Requirements
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking, lifting (up to 75 lbs), bending, reaching, and manual dexterity.
- Work may be indoors or outdoors, with exposure to temperature changes, dust, and uneven surfaces.
- Must meet vision and respirator certification requirements.
