Star Staffing is seeking motivated and detail-focused CNC Machine Operators to join an industry leader in steel fabrication. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC-controlled structural steel equipment, including plasma cutters and beam line machines. Experience with Peddinghauser and Voortman is a plus!

Key Responsibilities
- Read, understand, and apply shop drawings, blueprints, and related documentation
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC plate processing and structural steel equipment
- Observe machine operations to identify errors, malfunctions, or variations from specifications
- Accurately identify materials, parts, and related drawings
- Maintain organized and up-to-date documentation for parts and projects
- Keep work areas clean and orderly on a daily basis
- Follow all safety guidelines and perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision
Qualifications and Experience
- Demonstrated experience operating CNC machinery such as plasma cutters, beam lines, or CNC milling equipment
- 2–3 years of experience working with structural steel or comparable materials preferred
- Strong understanding of tooling, machine setup, and production documentation
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and efficiency-focused practices
- Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform measurements, basic calculations, and troubleshooting
- Proficiency reading blueprints, GD&T specifications, mechanical diagrams, and CNC programs
- Working knowledge of G-code and M-code editing is a plus
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
