Our client operates a well-regarded, resort-style hospitality property that prides itself on offering clean, well-maintained facilities and outstanding service. The Maintenance Technician plays a key role in ensuring a safe, attractive, and functional environment for all guests and staff.

Position Overview:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing a variety of general maintenance, repair, and cleaning duties across the property. This includes indoor and outdoor areas such as guest rooms, offices, walkways, parking lots, pool decks, and mechanical equipment. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining high operational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning and maintenance checklists

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on hotel equipment and systems

• Clean and maintain all exterior and interior areas, including pool decks, stairways, guest-use equipment, building exteriors, and common spaces

• Address and complete repair orders from management, housekeeping, and front desk staff

• Clean and repair furniture, fixtures, and equipment in guest rooms and public areas

• Safely handle trash, recyclables, and soiled materials, transporting them to designated areas

• Respond to guest requests for maintenance or deliveries (e.g., rollaway beds, towels, supplies)

• Coordinate guest room access and repair timing with housekeeping and front office teams

• Maintain accurate reporting of completed maintenance tasks and follow-up needs

• Assist with safety inspections and report hazards or needed repairs promptly

• Greet guests in a professional, friendly manner when interacting on property

• Ensure secure handling of keys, tools, and supplies

• Maintain cleanliness and proper function of maintenance tools and equipment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required

• General knowledge of cleaning, maintenance, and light repairs (basic plumbing, electrical, etc.)

• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and stair climbing

• Must be able to safely operate basic hand tools and maintenance equipment

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in various conditions

• Reliable, organized, and able to manage tasks independently

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Valid driver’s license 

• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as needed
