Payroll Coordinator

Our client, an award-winning food manufacturer, is seeking a HR Payroll Coordinator to support the Human Resources department. As a Payroll Coordinator, you ll be responsible for providing administrative and human resources support, including but not limited to processing payroll status changes, maintaining personnel files, inputting confidential information. This position supports administration of Workers Compensation and performing other general support tasks. It s a great opportunity if you re looking to gain more experience in HR.

Our client is looking to start someone immediately.

Pay: $18/hr

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Start ASAP 3-4 weeks assignment, but potential for temp-to-hire

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Processes and submits payroll information, including processing PTO requests and payroll status changes; troubleshoots payroll issues; distributes paychecks; processes verifications of employment.

  • Responds to employee s payroll and HR related questions, assists with resolution of problems regarding access to or payment of PTO and salary and status changes.

  • Assists employees on completing forms and processes departmental forms, records and documents.

  • Supports administration of Workers Compensation, including coordinating WC s paperwork, making doctor s appointments, communicating WC claims status to supervisors, maintaining WC files and coordinating the modified work program.

  • Maintains employee personnel files.

  • Coordinates production of Human resources forms and packets. Maintains and orders supplies for the human resources department as needed.

  • Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, mailing, and back-up to the Receptionist

  • Provides excellent customer service.

  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism in dealing with confidential and sensitive issues.

  • Special projects as assigned

  • Office suite; MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • 3 years of related administration experience
