Hybrid/Remote/Onsite
20-32 hours per week
$62,000 - $72,000 D.O.E.
Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and proactive HR Generalist to support our staff and management with various HR functions. This role encompasses recruitment, employee relations, performance management, benefits management, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of HR policies and procedures, and the ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage the end-to-end recruitment process, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Support employee development initiatives through performance management processes, training programs, and career development plans.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, preparing orientation materials and coordinating activities.
- Stay informed on HR trends and best practices, recommending innovative solutions to improve processes.
- Handle employee relations matter professionally and confidentially, fostering a positive work environment.
- Prepare and maintain HR reports and documentation, ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Assist in implementing HR policies and procedures aligned with organizational goals and legal requirements.
- Conduct regular audits of HR processes, recommending improvements to streamline operations.
- Provide HR support to managers and employees on various inquiries and issues.
- Assist with payroll processing and benefits administration, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance and retirement plans.
- Coordinate and schedule HR meetings, training sessions, and events.
- Support HR projects and initiatives, including employee engagement activities and policy updates.
- Support the President and leadership with ad hoc HR projects.
- Assist in the implementation and modification of the Paylocity Recruitment module.
- Participate in special projects as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Proven experience as an HR Generalist or in a similar HR role, with a strong understanding of HR practices.
- Experience working with and supporting cross-functional teams.
- Ability to manage a diverse range of experience levels, capabilities, and working styles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Proven project management skills.
- Preferred certifications: SHRM-CP or PHR.
- Flexible, self-reflective, and receptive to change, with strong business acumen and accountability.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage and prioritize assignments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High technology literacy, including Office 365.
