Position: Fraud Analyst
Location: Roseville
Schedule: Mon-Fri 8am -5pm
Compensation: $31 hourly

Summary: 

The Fraud Analyst is accountable for researching and resolving complaints according to the Company' s policies and procedures. The individual will also be responsible for conducting meticulous investigation of assigned alerts and the circumstances of suspected or confirmed fraud cases, handling them according to established procedures. The individual will need to file SARs according to the Company's AML policy.  

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
 
  • Research and resolve written and verbal complaints in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigates and evaluates circumstances of suspected fraud related to consumer complaints and consumer accounts. Maintain full documentation of research conducted and investigation results.
  • Present results of investigations to the Fraud Committee to determine if a SAR filing is required. Maintain records according to regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain log and record pertinent information and action taken in response to all regulatory complaints. Distribute complaints to the correct department for investigation and resolution, as applicable.  
  • File SARs according to regulatory timeframes and maintain a full case file for each investigation and filing as applicable. Maintain records according to regulatory requirements.  

Required Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
 
  • Experience with Questionable Activity Reports (QAR) and filing SAR's
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in Compliance or a financial services field
  • Strong internal and external customer service skills, including professional telephone manner
  • Must be a team player
  • Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
  • Maintain thorough and current knowledge of federal, state, laws, regulations, and statutes relevant to the mortgage and consumer finance industries
  • Strong work ethic
  • Precise attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently
  • Planning, organization and decision-making skills
  • Analytic ability and judgement
  • Effective communicator
  • Must be proficient in Excel and Word
  • Experience with Encompass helpful but not required
