Job Overview
Our client in Vacaville specializing in food manufacturing is looking for a Forklift Operator who is experienced with in loading/unload materials and moving ingredients.
Schedule: Day Shift 5:00am - 1:30pm
Monday - Friday - must be open for overtime and weekends and flexibility between shifts based on production needs.
Pay: $19.00
Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Forklift Operator with at least one year of experience operating a sit-down propane forklift. This position is responsible for moving materials throughout the facility, supporting production operations, and ensuring products, packaging supplies, ingredients, and chemicals are transported safely and efficiently.
The ideal candidate is dependable, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and demonstrates strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
Responsibilities
- Operate a sit-down propane forklift safely and efficiently.
- Pick up, move, and transport pallets of cased goods, packaging supplies, finished products, ingredients, and chemicals throughout the facility.
- Load, unload, stage, and organize materials as needed to support production and warehouse operations.
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, and operational guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a sit-down propane forklift.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness and flexibility to work scheduled overtime, including weekends, as needed.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong ability to stay on task and remain self-motivated.
- Excellent troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
