Under the direction of the Director of Marketing Operations, the Marketing Specialist will create resources and marketing materials regularly, generating educational, engaging content to drive website traffic, leads, new clients, subscribers, and other important metrics.


  • Own the writing and delivery for collateral such as whitepapers, presentations, award entries, email marketing, infographics, datasheets
  • Support the production for more complex assets like eBooks, webinars, podcasts, video series, and product marketing collateral like case studies
  • Review, edit and proofread content and marketing materials
  • Conduct in-depth research on topics around Human Resources, Hiring, Recruiting, and more
  • Write high-quality content on a variety of instructional, technical, and editorial topics
  • Identify existing posts for historical optimization and craft an update plan to increase the content’s value to the business
  • Devise new types of content that help us reinforce Star Staffing’s story and generate leads and close deals
  • Stay abreast of industry shifts and emerging trends in target area of focus
  • Perform regular content audits; find and fix keyword cannibalization
  • Hypothesize, develop, and measure messaging we put out across channels to figure out what works and how to amplify it
  • Write effective SEO content for blogs, digital copy, and social media accounts
  • Define audience and channel strategy to achieve optimal results

Social Media:

  • Create and execute messages that are supportive and consistent with marketing strategies and builds ends engagement with job seekers, employees, prospects and clients
  • Edit social media on HubSpot and manage the relevant content across all social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, YouTube, Google My Business, Instagram) ensuring a call to action strategy plus ROI
  • Manage and run ads on specified platforms using A/B testing, reporting on metrics, and sticking with budget

SEO & Data Analytics:

  • Run keyword research and competitive analysis to find areas for organic growth
  • Measure and report on organic traffic, rankings, and backlinks generated from search and historical optimization strategy
  • Identify powerful keywords to drive the most valuable traffic
  • Develop link building strategies
  • Analyze keywords and SEO techniques used by competitors


  • Provides administrative support for business cards and other duties as needed
  • Collaborate with others on the marketing team on shared projects and goals


  • Proficient in HubSpot CRM and HubSpot website function
  • Proven track record with paid search, SEO, and Facebook Ads manager
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Background in content creation
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to make sense of large data sets
  • You have basic HTML experience; JavaScript experience would be a great plus.
  • Strong project management, multi-tasking, and prioritization skills and can function at a high-performance level on a tight schedule.
