On-Call Barback / Dishwasher

Star Staffing is seeking a reliable and hospitality-minded Barback/ Dishwasher to support a premium, family-owned winery in Napa Valley.

Position: On-Call Barback / Dishwasher 
Location: Napa, CA
Schedule: On-call; primarily Friday–Sunday, with shifts scheduled based on reservations and business needs

Pay Rate: $24/hr
Employment Type: On-Call / Non-Exempt

This is a hands-on hospitality support position for someone who takes pride in keeping a busy tasting room clean, organized, and running smoothly. The ideal candidate is dependable, team-oriented, comfortable working on their feet, and able to jump in wherever needed to support the hospitality team and create a great guest experience.

What You’ll Do

• Wash, polish, dry, and organize serving dishes and glassware throughout service

• Assist the hospitality and sales teams with setup and breakdown

• Set, clear, and reset guest areas according to established standards

• Keep the tasting room and hospitality spaces clean, organized, and guest-ready

• Assist with closing procedures and end-of-day cleanup

• Restock the tasting room, tax-paid room, and service areas as needed

• Transport glassware and other materials to recycling and disposal areas

• Assist with barback and general hospitality support as needed

• Assist with basic food preparation as requested

• Work collaboratively with the hospitality team during busy service periods

• Follow all winery, safety, sanitation, and food/beverage handling procedures

• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work environment

What We’re Looking For

• 21 years of age or older

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

• Previous restaurant, winery, hospitality, or food service experience preferred

• Ability to stand and walk for 6+ hours during a shift

• Ability to consistently lift up to 45 lbs

• Strong attention to cleanliness and organization

• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Professional and positive attitude

• Weekend availability required

• Comfortable working an on-call schedule with at least 48 hours' advance notice
