Job Title: Chief Retail Officer
Job Type: Full-Time (Remote)
Compensation: $350,000 annually DOE
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9 AM–6 PM EST

Role Overview:
As Chief Retail Officer, you will architect and execute a bold national retail strategy, lead high-impact partnerships, own the retail P&L, and unify omnichannel experiences. You’ll be responsible for identifying new opportunities, negotiating key partnerships, and building out the internal retail team. This role is critical in shaping the company’s next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:
Retail Strategy & Expansion

Own the national retail roadmap across grocery, mass, specialty, and new channel formats

Identify whitespace growth opportunities and define go-to-market retail plans

Drive omnichannel excellence across in-store and DTC/eCommerce channels
Partnership Development & Management

Cultivate and expand relationships with retailers, distributors, and brokers

Lead joint business planning with top partners to optimize placement and promotional effectiveness
P&L & Revenue Management

Own and manage the retail P&L

Define KPIs and ensure growth and profitability goals are achieved
Cross-Functional Execution

Collaborate with marketing, finance, supply chain, and product to execute retail initiatives

Ensure brand and pricing consistency across all consumer touchpoints
Team Leadership

Build and manage a high-performing retail organization including sales, operations, and marketing functions

Foster a culture of accountability, mentorship, and high performance
Data-Driven Growth

Leverage shopper data, retail analytics, and market trends to guide strategic decisions

Build forecasting, inventory, and sell-through optimization tools
Qualifications & Skills:
-
15+ years of experience in retail sales, retail strategy, or business development, ideally within high-growth CPG or wellness environments

Proven experience scaling retail partnerships nationally

Deep relationships across grocery, mass, and specialty channels

Strong ownership of retail P&L, forecasting, and strategic planning

Experience integrating retail and eCommerce strategies in an omnichannel structure

Highly analytical with the ability to translate data into actionable insights

Strong communicator and relationship builder

Experience with systems like NetSuite is a plus

Entrepreneurial mindset with a roll-up-your-sleeves approach to growth
