Activities Coordinator (Temp-to-Hire)

Location: San Rafael, CA
Pay: $28-29/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM

• Occasional extended hours (up to 5:30/6:00 PM) based on events

• Some evening/weekend expectations (upon hire)

We are seeking an Activities Coordinator for our San Rafael client. This role will support resident services through planning, organizing, and executing engaging programs, events, and community activities. Plays a key part in enhancing quality of life by creating meaningful social, recreational, and enrichment opportunities for residents. The ideal candidate is organized, people-focused, and comfortable coordinating multiple activities, vendors, and logistics in a community environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Research, plan, promote, and implement resident programs and activities

• Coordinate in-house events, including setup and breakdown

• Organize outings, trips, and special events (some evenings/weekends)

• Create and manage activity calendars, flyers, and event communications

• Work with vendors, performers, and service providers

• Track attendance, budgets, documentation, and event logistics

• Support front desk coverage as needed

• Maintain resident engagement through consistent communication and outreach

• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth event execution

Qualifications

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Experience in event coordination, community programming, or resident services preferred

• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)

• Comfortable working with diverse populations

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Ability to lift up to 15 lbs
