Position: Accounting Assistant
Location: North Highlands, CA (In-office)
Compensation: $22/hr – $24/hr, DOE
Schedule: Part-time (Mon–Fri, flexible hours)

Summary:
Our client is currently looking for a part-time Accounting Assistant with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable experience to join their team, for a small heating and air conditioning company. The accounting assistant is responsible for performing clerical tasks such as recording financial transactions, updating financial records, processing invoices, reconciling bank statements, preparing basic financial reports, and assisting with administrative duties related to finances and payment processing.

- Accounts Payable (A/P) & Accounts Receivable (A/R)
- Data entry, invoice processing, reconciliation
- Preparing financial reports and payroll processing
- Assisting with audits
- Filing and record keeping
- Customer communication related to finance and payments
Required Skills:
- At least 1 year of experience in A/P and A/R
- High School Diploma or GED
- Proficiency in MS Word/Excel
- Familiarity with accounting software like QuickBooks or Sage (a plus)
- Strong data entry, organizational, and communication skills
- Basic understanding of accounting principles
- Numerical fluency and strong attention to detail
