Compliance Reporting Specialist
Santa Rosa, CA- Hybrid
Temp to Hire
Compensation: $30--$35 per hour

Summary:
The Out of State Compliance Reporting Specialist serves as the primary liaison for a designated client portfolio, responsible for managing relationships and overseeing projects involving preparation, maintenance, submission, and organization of regulatory reports on a monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual basis.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Successfully manage an assigned client portfolio, ensuring proactive communication and meeting varied workload and deadlines.
  • Maintain and manage clients’ out of state tax accounts.
  • Perform data entry, prepare, and submit various regulatory reports according to specified timelines.
  • Track, record, and reconcile billable time related to reporting activities.
  • Conduct ongoing regulatory research and analysis to ensure compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the department.
  • Participate in training programs and presentations as required.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Undertake additional projects and duties as assigned.

Experience/Education:
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in Out of State Wine Compliance Reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Experience working with diverse teams of varying experience levels and working styles.
  • Strong skills in relationship building, with the ability to listen, evaluate, advise, and influence.
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

Required Knowledge:
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel), Adobe Acrobat.
  • Advanced Excel skills (formulas, concatenation, sorting, filtering, etc.).
  • Experience with Ship Compliant software is required; Netsuite experience is a plus.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to identify and correct minute discrepancies.
  • Strong business acumen while maintaining a client-centered approach.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective self-management, time management, and prioritization skills.
  • Self-reflective, personally accountable, and proactive in communications.
  • Proficient in research methodologies and analytical techniques.
  • Knowledgeable in organization, planning, records management, and general administration principles.
  • Willingness to work extended hours during peak reporting periods.
