Training and Development Manager

We re seeking a highly skilled recruiting and training manager. You will be responsible for recruiting highly skilled and high potential candidates to work within our fast-growing organization.

Top initiatives:
  1. Source, screen, and hire the very best talent targeting specific individuals and build pipeline
  2. Develop and implement new training materials and programs
  3. Deliver training to all company employees including new employee orientation, role specific general training and ongoing continuing professional development.
  4. Ensure company culture and values are integrated in all branches
  5. Network with active and passive external talent to build a proactive talent pipeline.
  6. Build a reputable brand as the best place to work.
  7. Work with hiring managers to create better job descriptions and job postings.
  8. Conduct group and individual on-boarding classes and select mentors for each employee based on branch and position.

General Responsibilities:
  • Administer new hire on-boarding and training
  • Conduct on-going training each month for professional development
  • Lead training and development projects working with subject matter experts, managers, and executive team
  • Develop, administer, and measure effectiveness of training program
  • Identify appropriate training media and methodologies
  • Create content for training manuals, HR materials, and other documents
  • Track post-training and training related performance evaluation deliverables
  • Manage all new hire training schedules and assist with on-boarding/training
  • Develop and manager company-wide mentorship program
  • Build pipeline of quality recruiters and managers

Must be experienced at:
  • Administrative and Professional Recruitment

  • Previous training and development experience

Must haves
  • Good online presence
  • Knowledge of Basic Human Resources functions and procedures.
  • Over 1 year recruiting experience with clerical or professional placements
    • Must have experience recruiting on LinkedIn, Indeed and social media
    • Must be able to travel (Several day trips and likely 2-4 overnights/month)

Other Required Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years recruiting experience in administrative or professional positions
  • Preferably 2- 4 years experience or an equivalent combinations of educational and related experience.
  • Bachelor s Degree Preferred
  • Knowledge of Basic Safety and/or workers compensation functions and procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft office suite and ability to learn reporting systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities and workflow.
  • Exercise good judgment and maintain confidentiality in maintaining critical and sensitive information, records and reports.
  • Great attention to detail and excellent customer service skills.
