Job Summary: The Seasonal Harvest Technician is a temporary role reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor, providing essential support to Winery Production during the harvest season, ensuring smooth winery operations during harvest.  This position operates during night shifts, starting between 5pm and 6pm, for 8–10-hour shifts, six days a week, from mid-August through October.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform various maintenance tasks and minor troubleshooting on harvest equipment.
- Tasks include replacing door seals, press bags, repairing pumps, minor electrical work, and changing light bulbs.
- Complete rounds on harvest equipment and conduct minor Preventative Maintenance (PM) tasks.
- Support facility duties related to the last shift of the day; major repairs may be deferred to the next day or handled under guidance from on-call supervisors.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas as time allows.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, GMP standards, and company policies outlined in orientation training.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including high-visibility vest, steel-toed shoes, eye protection, and gloves as necessary.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- Effective communication skills in English (written and verbal); bilingual in English/Spanish preferred but not required.
- Prior experience in winery production is advantageous.
- Proficiency with power and hand tools.
- Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems preferred.
- Willingness to adjust work schedule to support the last shift of the day.
- Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed during harvest season.
- Basic computer skills preferred.
- Strong customer service orientation.
- Capable of following directions with minimal supervision.
- Positive attitude, cooperative team player, resourceful, and proactive.
- Possession of a valid Class C Driver’s License.
