Divisional Controller

We are in search of a Divisional Controller to support and manage the accounting and finance functions as well as a small accounting team for a large, family-owned organization in California.

What will you do: 

As the Divisional Controller, you will oversee all financial and accounting operations across 2 companies. You will manage a small accounting team of four and will report directly to the corporate controller. 

Divisional Controller Top responsibilities: 

• Manage and oversee all accounting/financial functions

• Partner with division management, corporate executives, and it’s shareholders in making educated economic decisions

• Ensure project revenue and costs are in conformity with GAAP

• Coordinate divisional budgets 

• Oversee and develop accounting team and ensure all functions are completed appropriately

• Prepare sales and use tax filings

Divisional Controller Skills and requirements: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field required, Masters preferred

• CPA preferred

• Accounting/finance experience in construction industry required

• 3-5 years experience as an Assistant Controller or Controller required

Compensation: $110,000 - $150,000 with yearly bonus
