Job Description
Compensation: $60,000 - $75,000 (DOE)
Note: Role is not remote - Must be able to work in the Branch Mon-Fri / 8:00 - 5:00
The Assistant Branch Manager is responsible for Branch Operations including team/staff development, recruitment, job order fulfillment, client management and the overall development and maintenance of branch by achieving profit results consistent with predetermined expectations.
Responsibilities:
Leadership
- In conjunction with corporate recruiting, identify internal talent participate in pre-employment process.
- Own onboarding, training, and development of all branch employees
- Supervise the daily activities of the Recruiting team members to ensure recruiting metrics are being achieved on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis
- Conduct Monthly 1:1 Management check-ins with each team member to identify personal and professional goals are tied directly into the Company goals
- Complies with applicable federal and state laws and regulations and institutional policies and procedures, including but not limited to those related to candidate placement
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to increase applicant flow and Identify quality candidates and maintain a high level of placements of into open roles/assignments
- Manage full cycle recruiting process ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience
- Build a pipeline of top candidates through various sourcing techniques, such as resume databases, career page, social media, job boards, referrals, etc.
- Manage and coordinate all communication with candidates throughout the recruitment, selection and pre-employment screening and onboarding process
- Utilize Applicant Tracking System to ensure accuracy of candidate data (e.g., personal data, discovery/interview notes, placements, etc.)
- Own onboarding process for candidates: applications, skills assessments, New Hire Paperwork, EVerify, Reference and background checks
- Prepares candidates for job placement readiness and continued future employment through relationship building beyond initial placement
- Implement and manage client development activities within the office, including face-to-face client contact with both existing and inactive clients
- Manage and assist with Workers Compensation claims as directed by the Safety Manager
- Ensure all safety programs are executed, promoted, monitored and in compliance with Company standards
- Performs safety walk-throughs and inspections with clients and conducts observations
- Completes required monthly trainings including but not limited to Safety and other industry related trainings
- Identifies developing relationships with clients and secures new and existing accounts by providing WOW experience to exceed expectations when placing candidates against job orders and continued service
- Consistently attends Job Fairs, Chamber, and other networking events
- Keeps up on latest industry trends, best practices, and shares insights
- Ensure billing goals for sales and branch profitability are met and exceeded
- Other Ad Hoc duties as assigned when defined by the business
- Experience as a Recruiter or previous experience in a similar HR role
- Experience managing and leading teams
- Experience working in a metrics driven environment
- Bachelor's degree Preferred
- Must have experience with building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and Internet research
- Knowledge of various candidate evaluation techniques, including group interviews as well as ability to handle various open positions simultaneously
- Strong presentation and public speaking skills
- Prior staffing industry experience a plus
- Amazing time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Proficient knowledge of labor legislation
- Commitment to excellence and high standards
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Applicant Tracking systems (ATSs)
- Customer Service driven
- Ability to travel locally, clean DMV and proof of insurance required
- Bilingual / Spanish a HUGE plus!
